Superficial Distractions

For us to tap into what we're meant to pursue,

While shadowed by the superficial, glittery distractions.

Widely confused and often failing to realize the state of dilemma;

All in all, happen to forget, drifting away,

ending up forgoing the true path and purpose.

However, there come moments of reflection flashing through once in a while to give a gentle reminder,

Maybe nudging to take a step back and self-reflect.

Yet those are hardly having any impact on the scope,

barely sneaking in to scratch the surface hardened by the superficial bubble circumventing life.
